With the help of local donations and long term funders such as the Big Lottery, Henry Smith, Reading CCGs and Children in Need, we can continue to help prevent crisis within Reading based families, by offering free face-to-face long-term support.

We work in line with our policies, which include Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Equality Fairness and Diversity and Health and Safety.  Our work is monitored by Home-Start UK who conducts a four yearly Quality Assurance review. The purpose is to validate the processes, endorse and build on good practice and identify areas of improvement.

Over the course of our support, our families are visited every 8-12 weeks and asked to rate their level of coping over 13 areas.  On our final visit to them, we discuss whether or not our service has helped them either “meet their needs”, “partially met their needs” or left with their needs unmet “not achieved”.
